Heads of Year

Your son’s Head of Year is the primary point of contact and is available to assist your son and your family through the transition to Joeys and whilst he is at the College. If you have any concerns or would like to discuss anything with your son’s Head of Year it is best to send an email in the first instance and they will respond as soon as possible.

At the beginning of 2026 your son’s Head of Year will provide you with their contact details. Should you have any enquiries prior to your son commencing please forward to admissions@joeys.org and it will be forwarded accordingly.

Change of contact: Change of contact notifcations for students and parents can be emailed to changedetails@joeys.org.

Contacting Students

Mail
Letters and parcels are delivered to students daily. It is very helpful to have a student’s year group included in the address, e.g.:

John Smith
Year 8
St Joseph’s College
Locked Bag 5009
Gladesville NSW 1675

Outgoing mail can be left at College Reception for posting. Stamps and envelopes can also be purchased at Reception.

Personal phone calls and messages
It is very difficult and impractical for a student to receive personal phone calls. Messages can be left with Reception and will be delivered as soon as possible. In emergencies please ring either the Health Centre or your son’s Head of Year.

College Reception is open Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.30pm during term time. School holiday reception hours are 9.00am to 4.00pm.

For approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period the College is closed to enquiries.

Mobile phones
Students are allowed to have mobile phones at the College and use them under the following conditions. Mobile phones are not to be carried or used:

  • on campus from 8.00am until 3.30pm
  • in dining rooms
  • at sport
  • during evening study
  • after lights out.

During these times, students are required to store mobile phones securely in their lockers. Years 7 to 9 boarding students will have their phones stored in the Head of Year’s office each night after lights out.
