Student wellbeing is central to life at Joeys. Drawing on the Marist Characteristics, our aim is to develop men of outstanding character, with a strong mind and gentle heart.
Caring for your son.
The College Health Centre is located on the first floor at the northern end of the main building. It is staffed by a registered nurse 24 hours a day during term time and houses two isolation rooms and a main ward with a further eight beds. A doctor from Hunters Hill Medical Practice visits the Health Centre every weekday morning to see boarders regarding medical issues.
In addition, the College also has three trained psychologists who meet with students who are either referred by a parent, staff member (through Head of Year or Academic Leader) or who make contact themselves. The psychology team will support students and families in locating an external psychologist for longer term counselling needs should it be necessary.
