Nature of Subject:

You’ll learn the science of food and fibre as well as the economics underpinning the operation of rural enterprises
You don’t have to have grown up on a farm to understand Agriculture
You’ll learn to harness natural processes and technology to sustainably feed our growing population
Improve natural resource management and contribute to Australia’s growing agricultural industry

Year 9
Introduction to Agriculture
- Plant Production 1 – Cropping operations (Canola, Wheat, Vegetables)
- Animal Production 1 – Mainstream examples -Sheep, Pigs, Poultry
- Alternative examples – Bees
Year 10
Agricultural Systems and Management of an Enterprise
- Plant Production 2 – Pastures, Cotton
- Animal Production 2 – Cattle
