  • Develop an understanding of the many aspects that influence human sporting performance.
  • Learn how they can influence their own performance through physical preparation.
  • Improve sports-specific skills and fitness through the varied practical modules.
  • Develop lifelong positive attitudes towards involvement in sport and feel confident in applying the various methods learnt to improve their components of fitness.
  • Critically analyse sporting issues such as drug use, sponsorship and ‘sport’ as a business.
