Recommendations
This course explores the Earth’s renewable and nonrenewable resources, Earth’s processes and also environmental issues. An understanding of the Earth’s resources and the ability to live sustainably on the planet is a central purpose of the study of Earth and Environmental Science.
A student of Earth and Environmental Science would need:
- An ability to read and synthesise information from a variety of sources
- An appreciation of the interconnectedness of geological ideas and principles
- To be comfortable with graphs, tables and other visual stimulus to communicate ideas
- Good levels of numeracy (level 5.2 minimum)
Prerequisites
